I am often asked what do you do in the winery during the summer. It must be an easy time just waiting for harvest. Nothing could be further from the truth. Summer is an incredibly hectic time. On one hand we need to take care of the new wines from 2013. They need to be racked, adjusted and tucked away until after harvest. On the other hand it is bottling season. We need to make room for the new harvest. All of this spells busy. But that’s why we love this business, the idle mind is the devil’s workshop.
