Gifts for Mom

If you are looking for something unique for Mom to open on her special day, there are plenty of options along the Wine Road.

Here are just a few fun gifts for Mom Along the Wine Road: J Rickards chocolate covered dessert wine, Portalupi ReFull Rose, and the gift of thyme at Duex Amis and Mutt Lynch.

Stop by J.Rickards or order online their Los Niños Perdidos Port-Style Dessert Wine (375ml) dipped in deliciously decadent dark chocolate by Vintage Sweet Shoppe for $48 (club discount available). A wonderful self-contained pairing for Mom, and she might even share some with you.

Pech Merle Winery is offering a Mother’s Day exclusive gift pack through May 14th for only $75. It includes their highly allocated Dry Creek Viognier, their 90-point Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, and an Ivy Rosé de Syrah soy candle bursting with juicy pomegranate notes. You can purchase this trio by visiting their tasting room, or call them at 707-891-3015 x6.

Portalupi recommends getting Mom involved in their ReFull program—wine in milk jugs that can be returned, recycled and refilled. Enjoy five ReFulls of their Vaso di Marina Rosato (an Italiante Rosé) and get the sixth one for a penny.
This tradition of filling wine in milk jugs started during prohibition when Marina Portalupi brought her winemaking skills to California from Piemonte, and sold her wine in milk jugs at her grocery store. Now her family has brought back the wine in milk jug tradition to honor her, and share her wine in a milk jug for Mother’s Day.
