Wine Road has come full circle with our On the Road series. Last year we started out in Seattle and, again this year, we made it out to Seattle to commemorate our one-year anniversary of Wine Road On the Road. We have been to Portland, New York, San Diego, L.A, Phoenix, and Tucson.
What We Do:
We travel to certain cities with the demographic of wine lovers and potential Sonoma County tourists and host a wine tasting event. We bring along some Wine Road members to showcase their wines and have food catered for the guests. Once guests have enjoyed the food and wine we direct their attention towards the silent auction of Wine Road member’s donated items such as wine, touring, and hotel stays.
The whole point of these trips is to introduce people to Sonoma County Tourism. Especially because so many people are mistaken of the wine country geography and think that Napa is the whole Northern California Region. We have three amazing AVA’s that we want to show off to the world!
We always find a local charity to donate our profits to. This past Seattle trip, we donated $12,000 to Northwest Harvest Food Bank. They received 100% of the auction item profits and 70% of the ticket costs.
Where Will We Go Next?
We had a very successful trip to Seattle this year, but the series is exhausting and costly. We haven’t decided yet about another trip, but if we receive the grant money that we applied for we will start planning for another trip to Portland!
Should we come to your city?
