You may have read about my trip to Treasure Island for the Wine & Wishes event hosted by Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area. Well, they are at it again – raising money for children to make their wildest wish come true!
You probably have heard about Bat Kid! That kid is one of the lucky ones chosen by Make-A-Wish who had his wish granted. Children don’t understand why they are sick and they haven’t had enough time to make their wishes come true themselves. That is why Make-A-Wish has a special place in my heart – they grant the wishes of children to boost the moral of the healing children and also to give them a taste of what life has in store for them. It is a touching program that goes above and beyond to put a smile on a child’s face.
On Saturday, May 17th Make-A-Wish is hosting Wishes in Wine Country where 13 of our members will be pouring their wine, among others, for consumers to taste. While you are having fun and drinking amazing wine, you are also contributing to the cause of Make-A-Wish Foundation. There will be an auction as well as a dinner to keep the donations flowing and the moral of children in need high and in good spirits!
You can attend this event at Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards in Windsor where 100% of the proceeds goes to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Although the Sunset dinner is sold out, you can still enjoy the Grand Tasting on the Lawn at 2:30!
You can contact Make-A-Wish to be placed on the waiting list for the dinner:
